I Lost My Gratitude

In a world filled with constant challenges and uncertainties, the importance of gratitude cannot be overstated. Gratitude has long been hailed as a powerful force that can transform our lives, fostering positivity and resilience. However, what happens when that gratitude starts slipping away, leaving a void of emptiness and discontent?

The year of 2023, was a difficult one, to say the least. After two years of living on the road in our Airstream, we made the decision to come off the road and find a more permanent life style once again. It was hard to give up the Airstream, but it was even harder to give up that lifestyle.

March and April of 2023 were filled with changes and unforeseen challenges, too many of them, all crammed in a short time frame. We started house hunting just north of Tampa, Florida. We had to sell our Ford F-250 and our Airstream, both of which we had strong attachments too. We bought a house, fully furnished. Then four days before closing on the house, my husband had a heart attack.

Life’s complexities can sometimes overwhelm even the most grateful heart. As responsibilities pile up, setbacks occur, and the relentless pace of of just living takes its toll, gratitude slowly erodes. It’s not a sudden departure, but rather a subtle fading, add the stress of life and it makes it…
