Celebrating the Life of an Amazing Woman

Within the intricate weave of human existence, certain narratives emerge as genuinely extraordinary. Encountering an individual characterized by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering spirit in the face of life’s challenges is a rare occurrence. Betty, was such a remarkable human being and an even more extraordinary woman, leaving an unforgettable mark on those privileged enough to be acquainted with her.

Our encounter with her occurred in the later stages of her life, following the loss of her beloved husband. Over time, our friendship strengthened, and we gradually evolved into a family-like connection. Family, as we discovered, is not solely defined by blood; rather, it often formed through profound respect, genuine fondness, and a shared love that warmly envelops someone into the folds of a chosen family.

Betty’s affinity for boating and being on the water had its roots in her childhood. As she grew, so did her passion for these pursuits, blossoming into a lifelong love. Remarkably, in her late 80s, she channeled that passion into self-publishing a book dedicated to her cherished Princess Louisa Inlet in British Columbia, Canada.
